Empyre: The Invasion Of Wakanda #1 kicks off a limited series focusing on the Wakandan response to a global threat. Marvel has offered teasers on the enormity of the Empyre maxi-storyline for months now, and fans are bracing for an attack by two of the universe’s most powerful alien races. Black Panther, caught between his Avengers duties, his responsibilities to Wakanda, and his adventures in interstellar diplomacy, is a busy, busy man....

The Big Bang Theory’s crossover episode with Young Sheldon conveniently resolves the shows’ continuity problem regarding Sheldon’s (Jim Parsons/Iain Armitage) father, George Cooper Sr.. Unlike the rest of the family, the Cooper patriarch, played by Lance Barber, has only been described in the long-running sitcom for years, since he’s already dead. This gave fans an idea of what Sheldon’s father was like, but since the debut of the prequel offshoot last year, viewers have seen more of George Sr....

The stars of Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) announced in a new video that they’ll be having a panel this year at CCXP in Brazil. Warner Bros. and DC’s upcoming film centers on Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie), who made her cinematic debut in David Ayer’s Suicide Squad back in 2016, as she teams up with a new batch of heroes, Black Canary (Jurnee Smollett-Bell) and Huntress (Mary Elizabeth Winstead), along with a Gotham City detective named Renee Montoya (Rosie Perez)....

We’ve known about the MCU’s upcoming Eternals movie for a while, but we didn’t know the Black Knight would be appearing in it until Disney’s D23 Expo this year. Game of Thrones star Kit Harington has been cast to play the character alongside his old co-star, Richard Madden. When he got his own series in the comics, it was canceled after five issues, due to low sales. With any luck, Harington’s casting will make him more popular with MCU fans than he was with comic book readers....

As a result, there is already a lot of chatter about which pilots may be picked up for full seasons – as well as which existing shows are going to be renewed, and which might well get cut. Fans of David Harbour will get to see the actor’s debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe come May, where he will play the KGB’s answer to Captain America in the MCU’s spy-thriller, Black Widow. Known most recently for his role as the grumpy chief of police Jim Hopper in Netflix’s Stranger Things, Harbour will be ditching 80s “dad shirts” for red and white leather, donning the role of Alexi (sometimes spelled Alexei) Shostakov, AKA the Red Guardian....

Jared Leto has revealed that he is the only person who truly, definitively knows if Deckard is actually a replicant in Blade Runner 2049. In the belated sequel, Leto plays Niander Wallace, a serial industrialist who specializes in artificial food production, space colonization and, of course, replicant creation. His goal is to find the child of Deckard and Rachael in the hope of figuring out how to get replicants to pro-create, thus creating a near-infinite army of slaves....

The latest installment of the 007 franchise has been a long time coming, yet even now as things move ever closer to completion, fans are still being teased by the possibilities of the new film. As has been acknowledged many times before, the battle to get Bond 25 off the ground has been an extensive one, with much initial uncertainty as to who would even be playing Bond, and who would be directing the highly anticipated follow up to 2015’s Spectre....

For those of you who have forgotten, Bones was a fantastic crime procedural drama that lasted for 12 seasons and aired from 2005 up until 2017. It followed the escapades of forensic anthropologist Temperance ‘Bones’ Brennan and Special Agent Seeley Booth (who shared amazing chemistry) as they teamed up to investigate suspicious deaths. Brennan’s specialty lay in determining vital information from bodies that were severely damaged beyond all recognition. The show itself was a mix of comedy and drama but despite the series having garnered a large fanbase, there were still a lot of storylines that were left hanging after the series finale....

Aspyr just announced that it’s going to release the much anticipated next installment in the Borderlands series on October 14. For anyone keeping score, that’s the same day scheduled for 2K’s release on PC and consoles! The company also confirmed that Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel for Mac will feature everything the PC release has including cross-platform multiplayer and future DLC: Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel for Mac and Linux will offer full feature parity with the Windows PC version, including cross-platform multiplayer and SHiFT Support....

The fifth season of Better Call Saul won’t premiere until some time in 2020. Beginning life in 2015, the Breaking Bad spinoff has definitely moved out of its parent show’s shadow after delivering four critically-acclaimed, Emmy nominated runs that served up plenty of surprises in Vince Gilligan’s Albuquerque. While Better Call Saul may not have reached the same level in the zeitgeist as its groundbreaking predecessor, it’s currently one of the best dramas on television and a terrific showcase for Bob Odenkirk....

Black Panther Outfits The film features not one, but three Black Panther costumes. The first was apparently built by T’Challa himself, and is made of vibranium. As fans saw in Captain America: Civil War, it’s effectively bulletproof; the kinetic energy of bullets is absorbed into it, rendering T’Challa immune from harm. In Shuri’s view, of course, this armor is nothing more than a relic. She’s created a vibranium costume that is constructed of nanotechnology....

Black Panther has won the Best Ensemble award at the Screen Actor Guild Awards. Marvel Studios made a commitment to changing the look of their movies with Black Panther, which is the first Marvel Cinematic Universe film to be led by a person of color. The studio put $200 million behind the blockbuster and surrounded star Chadwick Boseman with a great supporting cast. Director Ryan Coogler took full advantage of the cast assembled by completely fleshing out Wakanda’s various tribes and royal family....

Black Summer, the spinoff of Z Nation, has been renewed for season 2 at Netflix. Premiering in 2014, and airing for five seasons, Z Nation was a post-apocalyptic mashup of genres that begins three years into a zombie apocalypse. In its early run, the show focused on a team of everyday individuals that had to transport the only known survivor of the plague from New York to California. There, a functioning lab waits for his blood....
