The Big Bang Theory has ended after its 12-year run and CBS has repeatedly expressed their desire to launch another spinoff in order to capitalize on its massive fan community. And at this point, their best bet in a successful offshoot is a second prequel, but this time, centering on young Howard Wolowitz. It’s no secret that The Big Bang Theory’s cancellation wasn’t a CBS mandate. As with very popular long-running shows, its ending came from people involved who didn’t feel like continuing the series....

BioShock Infinite: Mac game developers Aspyr announced today that it will be bringing Bioshcok Infinite to the Mac following its release on PC and consoles next week on March 26. It will take Aspyr until the summer to get the third instalment in the Bioshock series up and running on OS X, but the company promised us more details on pricing, preorders, and release dates in the near future. The game follows lead character Booker DeWitt and takes place in the lost, floating city of Columbia....

Blade of the Immortal lacks depth as a quest for redemption narrative, but makes for good (and very bloody) pulpy fun in Miike’s skillful hands. In addition to being an adaptation of the Japanese manga series written by Hiroaki Samura (first published in 1993), Blade of the Immortal is the 100th film directed by Takashi Miike. As one would expect from the cult Japanese filmmaker responsible for such movies as Audition, Ichi the Killer, and 13 Assassins, Blade of the Immortal is an extremely violent and stylish exercise in genre storytelling; one that blends the archetypes of the samurai genre with tropes commonly found in both Eastern and Western comic books....

Duncan Jones’ Warcraft movie is only around four months away, slated for release on June 10. The latest expansion for Blizzard’s World of Warcraft, Legion, is expected to release a few months after that, on or before September 21. Now, word has gotten out that Blizzard is looking at a way to turn the movie into a direct marketing tool for the game. Dubbed the “Ultimate Movie Edition,” it is a version of World of Warcraft that would give moviegoers free access to WoW and its current expansions in advance of Legion’s release in September....

Over the last weeks, a handful of reports have indicated that Apple would be teaming up with Hyundai for the production of Apple Car. Now, a new report from Bloomberg suggests that the two companies have recently paused their discussions. Hyundai made a bold statement last month when it confirmed that it was in talks with Apple about a potential partnership for Apple Car. Almost immediately after issuing the first statement, Hyundai backtracked and published a new statement without a mention of Apple....

A new report from Bloomberg today details that Apple has shifted the leadership of its self-driving car project to John Giannandrea, its senior vice president of machine learning and AI strategy. According to the report, “hundreds of engineers” from Project Titan have shifted to the artificial intelligence and machine learning group. The report explains that Doug Field runs Project Titan “day-to-day” and that “his team of hundreds of engineers have moved to Giannandrea’s artificial intelligence and machine-learning group....

The final episodes of the popular animated comedy-drama BoJack Horseman are now available to stream on Netflix. The characters found closure in the series finale, with several fan-favorites gaining love and friendship — and some drifting apart from each other for good. BoJack and Diane became best friends in the first season. and their friendship persisted through several struggles throughout the show. However, they haven’t always been great towards each other....

The Big Bang Theory’s popular “Soft Kitty” song was hit with a copyright lawsuit since the series never obtained permission to use it. Introduced by Sheldon (Jim Parsons) in the sitcom, he claimed that it’s a children’s song that his mother usually sang to him when he was ill. Throughout The Big Bang Theory’s 12-season run, the genius but socially-inept character asked some of his friends to perform the tune for him....

Dwayne Johnson’s DC anti-hero may fight Hawkman and the Justice Society of America in his solo Black Adam movie. Back when Warner Bros. was still etching out the original plans for a DC shared universe, one of their earliest moves was getting Johnson to join as Black Adam. He was originally going to be the villain of the upcoming (and currently being praised) Shazam!, but the decision was made to give the god-like character a movie of his own first....

Early concept art for Black Panther offers a look at a more streamlined version of T’Challa’s suit. Apple is pushing to launch its own electric car by the year 2020, according to a new Bloomberg report citing “people with knowledge of the matter.” The company has been rumored in recent weeks to be working on the project in secret, with some claiming that Tim Cook authorized it as much as a year ago. Apple has been poaching employees from Tesla Motors, battery technology manufacturers, and elsewhere in an effort to build a team of experts to work on the vehicle, currently codenamed “Titan....

A Bloomberg piece points to weak sales by several key Apple suppliers, and suggests this is evidence that the iPhone maker has lost its famed supply-chain management expertise. Columnist Tim Culpan argues that with the iPhone X, Apple let its desire for innovation get ahead of its ability to source the necessary components … The problem began, he says, when Apple decided to make the switch to OLED. The decision to go to a near-bezel-free design forced it to develop another new tech – a Touch ID sensor that would work through the display – followed by yet another one when that plan didn’t work out....
