The season’s larger narrative was framed around the local police investigation of a suspicious death and the events leading up to it, but was far more interested in exploring its characters and their struggles than building up the murder mystery at its core....

Sony has announced the release of a Bloodshot novel that will tie into the upcoming Valiant Comics adaptation. Arriving in theaters this March, Bloodshot stars Vin Diesel as a resurrected soldier who works for the mysterious RST corporation as a nanotech-enhanced killer. He initially has no memories of his former life, but when they start to surface, he begins to question his purpose and what really brought him to RST. The film also stars Eiza Gonzalez (Baby Driver), Sam Heughan (Outlander), Toby Kebbell, and Guy Pearce....

During his acceptance speech for Leading Actor for Bohemian Rhapsody at the 2019 British Academy Film Awards (BAFTAs), Rami Malek thanked the film’s replacement director - not Bryan Singer. Singer was fired from the film on account of “unreliability and unprofessionalism,” after which time he faced sexual assault allegations. Towards the end of production on Bohemian Rhapsody, Singer was fired from the film. It was reported that he failed to report to set on several occasions - citing post-traumatic stress disorder from stress as his reason - and Malek had even complained about his experience with Singer on set....

When Saul Goodman first appeared in season 2 of Breaking Bad, it was clear from the beginning that Bob Odenkirk’s sleazy, fast-talking lawyer was a breakaway character for the show. What wasn’t as clear at the time was just how far he would break away, namely into his own spin-off series, Better Call Saul. Better Call Saul is now in its second season on AMC, where the story of how small-time con man “Slippin’ Jimmy” became the Walter White-enabling crooked lawyer of Breaking Bad continues to unfold....

While dripping with late ’90s and early ’00s nostalgia in every frame, Beyond Belief: Fact Or Fiction deserves to get a modern reboot for many reasons. Though, as fans might argue, little about the show needs improvement. Regarded as a cult classic, Beyond Belief: Fact or Fiction was a simpler time of television that promoted a notion of gathering around to watch a weekly television show with family and friends. It leaned on the instincts of viewers to act as armchair detectives, sussing out what could be factual evidence presented or a complete fabrication, which was often some sort of urban legend that had been cleverly re-written or changed in a slight way to make it seem believable....

Just two weeks after posting its live cable television iPad app, cable operator Time Warner has pulled channels following complaints from Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp., Viacom and Discovery Communications. Big media clearly has issues with the free TWCable TV app, downloaded 300,000 times so far, which lets iPad owners stream 32 selected cable channels to their device in high definition. Even though the software requires a subscription to Time Warner’s pay-TV, content partners argue that the streaming rights are not part of the programming deal....
