As the Queen biopic Bohemian Rhapsody becomes a Best Picture Oscar nominee, the controversies surrounding it and the alleged abuses of its director Bryan Singer should not be ignored. Leading up to the 91st Academy Award nominations, it seemed all but inevitable that Bohemian Rhapsody would garner a Best Picture nomination. Despite mixed reviews and a mountain of controversy surrounding it, audiences loved the film and propelled it to a worldwide box office gross of just under $800 million, making it the seventh highest grossing movie of 2018 (ahead of Mission: Impossible – Fallout)....

When thinking of dormant films to revive and create a franchise out of, the 2001 Method Man/Redman stoner comedy How High is not likely to be near the top of most lists. While it made its budget back in theaters, it was far from a profit powerhouse, and has failed to have the staying power of other stoner comedies like the Harold and Kumar series or the cult classic Half Baked....

Speaking with director Cathy Yan during our visit to the Birds of Prey set, we learned about the state of Harley Quinn when the film begins, the new explorations of her character fans can look forward to, and how the first Birds of Prey team-up with Harley Quinn actually isn’t a ’team-up’ in the usual sense… and definitely doesn’t make Harley a part of the team by the movie’s end....

Marvel’s Black Widow movie is a prequel, which means it’s in a unique position to include notable Marvel Cinematic Universe cameos. Natasha Romanoff (Scarlett Johansson) is finally taking center stage as she stars in her first-ever solo film, Black Widow. Natasha remained as one of the most compelling characters throughout her seven appearances in the MCU but only bits and pieces of her backstory came into focus. That will change with Black Widow since the film can truly dive into her past....

Sony’s crime thriller Black and Blue, which premieres next month, has a stellar cast at the forefront. Oscar nominee Naomie Harris (Moonlight) plays a rookie police officer who finds herself hunted by criminals and cops alike after she records an unlawful killing on her bodycam. But while the film boasts names like Tyrese Gibson (Fast and Furious) and Frank Grillo (Captain America: Civil War) in its supporting cast, the actors themselves agree that director Deon Taylor is responsible for the quality....

Kevin Hart wants to be a part of the upcoming Black Adam film. The famed actor/comedian has expressed a desire to join his Jumanji: The Next Level co-star Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson in his upcoming superhero epic, which is set to become part of the ever-changing DC Cinematic Universe in 2021. Hart has already collaborated with The Rock on the two Jumanji reboot films in addition to 2016’s forgotten flop Central Intelligence, and, earlier this year, even had a brief cameo in Hobbs And Shaw....

BlacKkKlansman reveals a brand new poster in anticipation of the new Spike Lee Joint. The film, based on the remarkable true story by Ron Stallworth, saw its world premiere earlier this year at the Cannes Film Festival, where it took home the Grand Prix award, and a Prize of the Ecumenical Jury Special Mention. BlacKkKlansman’s origins lie in a book first published in 2014. Black Klansman, written by Stallworth, recounts the true story of a police officer who infiltrated the Ku Klux Klan back in 1979....

The battle over the deployment of 5G services on C-Band frequencies began as a conflict between the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), which approved the use of C-Band spectrum by telecom carriers, and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), which opposed the move over fears that the use of 5G device on that particular bit of airspace could interfere with the altimeters many planes use to enable automated landing procedures. Since the beginning of the conflict, a growing number of parties have chimed in, including wireless industry group CTIA....

It has been announced that the Bomberman and Contra video games are receiving board game adaptations that are expected to be released in 2020. Bomberman is a series of maze-based puzzle games where players use bombs to destroy their opponents, while Contra is a notoriously difficult series of run and gun games where the player shoots through hordes of enemies. Both of these franchises were dormant throughout most of the past decade until the release of Super Bomberman R in 2017 as one of the Nintendo Switch launch titles and the release of Contra: Anniversary Collection and Contra: Rogue Corps in 2019....
