There once was a time where the TV landscape was full of sci-fi and horror anthology series - such as classics like The Twilight Zone and The Outer Limits - offering viewers a brand new story with new characters each time out. In more recent years though, the preferred style of genre anthology has changed to single stories being told over the course of individual seasons, thanks to shows like American Horror Story and Channel Zero....

Funko has unveiled its range of Blade Runner 2049 merchandise. The upcoming sequel, based on a script by Blade Runner’s Hampton Fancher and Logan’s Michael Green, and featuring direction by Sicario and Arrival’s Denis Villeneuve, is currently shrouded in an ‘insane’ level of secrecy. It is also known that Hans Zimmer is finishing the musical score for Blade Runner 2049, and that Villeneuve has been chatting about which version of Blade Runner he sees as canon....

A Technical Marvel Blade Runner 2049’s easiest shots at Oscar gold come in the below-the-line categories, as just about everyone is in agreement the film is masterfully constructed. Using Ridley Scott’s vision of a dystopian future from the first film as a jumping off point, Villeneuve recreated the world with modern technology, fully immersing his audience in something that was primarily practical, but still sci-fi. The production design is state-of-the-art, and Roger Deakins’ cinematography is characteristically pristine....

Black Panther Used Up T’Challa’s Biggest Villains While the fate of Killmonger in Black Panther has thematic resonance and provides the character with a sympathetic arc, Klaue’s death was another example of Marvel killing off villains they’re done with at the moment. Like Crossbones, Klaue could have easily escaped to torment the MCU another day, especially if Killmonger had delivered him to W’Kabi as a prisoner rather than a corpse. Even better, his demise could have involved his sonic canon malfunctioning in some way, thus setting up his return as a villain composed of sound in the future....
