Bob’s Burgers focuses on the Belcher family as they run the eponymous burger joint, where they run into all types of people from the city and the kids’ school.
While Bob and his family are pretty average folk, they tend to run into very peculiar people and situations, to say the least. With that in mind, here are the 10 worst things that the cast of Bob’s Burgers has done.
Bob: Not Supporting Tina
The first person on this list is the burger man himself, Bob. Bob mostly takes a backseat to his wife and children’s shenanigans but he does have some flaws, though. Like most people, Bob can fly off the handle sometimes and get very irradiated very quickly and lash out.
In “Sexy Dance Fighting,” Bob was jealous that Tina was spending all of her time at a capoeira and not working at the restaurant. He would not support her and even went to the class just to embarrass her. Specifically, he reprimanded her in front of everyone for skipping her shift at the restaurant. While he just missed his daughter, he went overboard in this episode.
Linda: Selling Bob’s Espresso Machine Behind His Back
Linda is Bob’s funny outgoing wife. One of the greatest things about Linda is that she supports Bob’s dream of being a burger man and has a smile on her face throughout the whole journey. She will do anything to make her family happy, even if it means taking something else from a different family member.
In the episode “The Unnatural,” Bob gets a new espresso machine for the restaurant and Gene has his first baseball game. When he causes his team to lose, Linda takes Gene to special baseball classes to help improve his skills. While her intentions were good, she sold Bob’s espresso machine behind his back in order to get the money to fund the classes.
Tina: Getting A Whole Class Of Junior Lifeguards Expelled
Tina is a great big sister and the greatest daughter one could have, but her boy-craze gets herself and others in trouble. In the episode “Boywatch,” she spots some other teens doing sugar cookies on the beach and wants to join. She investigates and learns they are a bunch of junior lifeguards.
She joins the team just to be able to see cute boys, but she can barley swim. With her lack of knowledge about the sea and saving people, she gets the other guards expelled from the course. While she saves the day in the end, it was still selfish of her join just to see the boys. She put all swimmers in danger by claiming to be a lifeguard.
Gene: Staying In A Relationship Because Of her Father’s Stuff
“The Unbearable Like-Likeness of Gene” is an episode about Gene and his new girlfriend Courtney. Gene does not like Courtney at all but ends up in the relationship because she likes him a lot. When he finally goes over to her house to call it quits, he learns that her dad is a jingle maker. Gene instantly thinks her dad is super cool and loves all the awesome music equipment he has. Then, Gene goes on pretending to like Courtney a lot, just to have access to the equipment.
At Courtney’s birthday party, though, everything goes south. Gene ends up yelling at Courtney in front of everyone, but when he is done yelling, Courtney can’t catch her breath and is sent to the hospital. While Courtney’s dad had a lot of cool stuff, Gene should have just broken up with her.
Louise: Stealing Her Parents’ Credit Card
In the episode “The Hawkening: Look Who’s Hawking Now!” Bob’s Burgers plans to host a Hawk And Chick screening. To run the film reel of the movie, they need a $1,000 deposit. Bob and Linda can’t afford it, so they plan to call it off. That changes when Louise steals their credit card and buys it herself.
On top of that, she does not care about regular size Rudy’s broken arm and she never signed it even though he wanted her to. She was too busy thinking about the movie premiere. Lousie really showed her selfish side in this episode, but in the end, made it all better.
Gayle: Trying To Get Bob To Cheat On Linda
In the episode “Dr Yap,” Gayle picks up Bob from the dentist because he is under heavy medication. When Bob mistakes Gayle for Linda, he kisses her and Gayle starts falling in love with him. Apparently, for her whole life, she has been falling in love with Linda’s boyfriends and thinking their hers.
Throughout the whole episode, she makes passes at Bob in front of Linda and the kids. It’s simply sad to watch. It was very awful of Gayle to do that to her sister and Linda couldn’t do much but laugh it off.
Jimmy Jr.: Taking Tina’s Gift And Putting A Different Girl’s Photo In It
Jimmy Jr. has been awful to Tina since day one, but he really hurts her in the episode “V for Valentine-detta.” When Tina makes a photo frame for Jimmy Jr. for Valentines day, he not only breaks up with her, but he gets a new girl and puts her photo in the frame.
When Jimmy Jr. goes on the date with his new girl, Becky, on Valentine’s Day, he breaks up with her and asks Tina out again. This kid is is way too brave and full of himself for a 13-year old!
Mr. Frond: Ruining His Own Dolls And Lying About It
In the episode “The Silence of the Louise,” Wagstaff puts on a read-a-thon. If the school is able to read 500 books, they will got to a water park. When the kids read all the books, Mr. Frond’s dolls are mysteriously ruined. Wagstaff then puts a halt to the trip until someone fesses up to the crime.
As it turns out, Mr. Frond and the school staff ruined the dolls on purpose because they spent all the trip money on a new coffee machine. While this was not solely Mr. Frond’s idea, it was he who executed the plan. He abused his power and and tried to get away with it.
Calvin Fischoeder: Almost Getting Bob Killed
Mr. Fishoeder is a man with a lot of secrets. He also owns nearly the entire town that Bob and his family live in, including the Wonder Wharf. In the episode “The Last Gingerbread House on the Left,” Mr Fishoeder has Bob delivers some food to his house. It turns out that Fishoeder wants Bob to play to join him and his rich friends in a gingerbread hose competition. Bob is reluctant, but Fishoeder tells him to lose on purpose. so that Fishoeder doesn’t come in last place again.
While Bob agreed to throwing the competition, he started to change his mind as Fishoeder continuously insulted him throughout the game. In the end, Calvin and everyone (except Bob) reveal their guns and start firing at everyone’s ginger bread houses. While he has done many more awful things with his business, this just seemed plain cruel and very dangerous, especially for a man that has a family.
Teddy: Starting A Fight For No Reason
The last on our list is Teddy, the man who comes to Bob’s Burgers everyday to eat and chat with Bob, Linda and the kids. While Bob does not like to admit it, Teddy is his best friend and obviously his best customer. While he is good-hearted, Teddy can be very overwhelming sometimes, especially for Bob.
The worst thing Teddy has ever done was in the episode “Drumforgivin.” Teddy is hired to do some work for Jimmy Pesto. Teddy starts acting all weird towards Bob, saying he will not be there for a couple days. Even after saying that, Teddy kept coming into the restaurant and yelling at Bob, accusing him of being angry and upset because he was working at Jimmy Pesto’s. Teddy put on this big act that was not necessary and just showed that he has some problems he needs to talk about.
