I feel as though Blizzard is implementing this changes in reaction to WildStar’s notable housing system. That doesn’t change the fact that I’m incredibly excited. In the above video you can see just some of the amazing things coming with player housing. Of course they don’t call it “player housing,” they are referring to to the houses as Garrisons.
These Garrisons will have many advantages within the game. One of the main benefits is that your Garrisons followers, or you errand runners, will do their thing whether you are online or not. You can send them off on missions and log off. The next day you will get to log in to find the spoils of your followers’ work.
Your followers and buildings within the Garrison can also give you extra professions (limited professions, but professions none the less). Blizz even told us that you can build a mine beneath your Garrison to give you just a little bit more easy farm.
This is just the tip of the iceberg with player Garrisons, keep an eye out for more information. Our contributor Joseph Rowe will be getting a post together tonight covering everything they had to tell us about the new upcoming WoW expansion, Warlords of Draenor. I will try to get as many videos together as I can later tonight as well.
Next up, Heroes of the Storm overview panel. Let’s just say HotS looks absolutely awesome. The croud went nuts over the trailor.
