Mark Gurman at Bloomberg has reported as part of his Power On newsletter that Netflix is planning to release its mobile games on iOS individually through the App Store. Developer Steve Moser shared the information with Bloomberg after discovering code in the Netflix app that points to an interesting solution to get around Apple’s rules. Netflix is expected to release every game in their portfolio individually on the App Store, each requiring a separate download on top of the main app....

Ahead of Tuesday’s “California Streaming” Apple event for the iPhone 13, Bloomberg is out with its last-minute roundup of expectations for the event. According to the report, the Apple Watch Series 7 and iPhone 13 are a lock for the event, and many of the previously-rumored features are likely to come to fruition. In the latest edition of his Power On newsletter, Mark Gurman rounds up expectations for the iPhone 13 and Apple Watch Series 7....

Kentucky-based Bluegrass Cellular announced today it will begin offering the iPhone 4S and iPhone 4 May 18. The iPhone 4S will start at just $149 for the entry-level 16GB model and the iPhone 4 at $49. The company will also offer the 32GB iPhone 4S for $249 and the 64GB model for $349. We saw these prices before, but it is still around $50 off what most of the major carriers are currently offering....

Blade Runner 2, as the followup to Ridley Scott’s touchstone 1982 futuristic Noir drama/thriller is currently known, has been a long time in coming, but will finally enter production during the summer of 2016. By comparison, the John Wick followup - a sequel now officially titled John Wick: Chapter Two - was much quicker to start filming, after its predecessor hit theaters in 2014. The latter also gave rise to a character (the movie’s namesake, played by Keanu Reeves) who has already become the basis for a multi-platform property that already includes both movies and video games alike....

Blade Runner is returning to the big screen in 2017, with Ridley Scott having handed off the job of directing to Denis Villeneuve: a filmmaker who has quickly risen in the ranks of respected cinematic storytellers that are currently active, after his work on such films as Prisoners and Sicario. Harrison Ford is returning for the next Blade Runner installment (once again raising questions about the true nature of his character Rick Deckard in the process), and he will be joined by a cast that includes Ryan Gosling, Robin Wright, Dave Bautista, MacKenzie Davis, Jared Leto and many other noteworthy actors in supporting roles....

Will Arnett, voice of Bojack Horseman and NBA superstar Stephen Curry are working on a new comedy series together. This marks an unusual collaboration between the two. The new series may be Arnett’s closest work to basketball since appearing in the 2008 film Semi-Pro. Steph Curry is no stranger to television production. Just this year, he appeared on and executive produced ABC’s golf-game show Holey Moley. Curry, an avid golfer himself, used the show to continue to grow his considerable brand off the basketball court....

Black Panther has left the nation of Wakanda in a place of transition. For 10,000 years, the secretive and highly advanced African country has kept to itself, intentionally isolated from the rest of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Now, though, King T’Challa has brought about a massive change; he’s insisted that Wakanda has a duty to reach out to the rest of the world. That decision looks set to land Wakanda straight in Thanos’s line of fire; the entire third act of Avengers: Infinity War will be set in Wakanda....

Mission: Impossible - Fallout director Christopher McQuarrie is rumored to be a possible replacement for Bond 25. Daniel Craig’s final outing as 007 is set to open in theaters next November, and was set to be helmed by Oscar-winner Danny Boyle. Unfortunately, that is no longer the case, as Boyle recently departed the project due to creative differences. Since Bond 25 was already in the midst of casting principal roles and supposed to start filming in December, it gives the producers little time to find someone else and keep the production on schedule....

The Better Call Saul season 5 premiere hints it will be Jimmy McGill who tries to solve Gus’ Lalo problem. After being introduced at the end of season 4, Lalo actor Tony Dalton was promoted to series regular for season 5. That means he will have a larger role this year, giving the rest of the main players headaches to deal with. Season 5 premiere “Magic Man” illustrated Lalo has taken it upon himself to investigate cartel activity, highly suspicious of what went down with Werner Ziegler during last season....

The Big Bang Theory will have been on-air for 12 years by the time it comes to an end in 2019. This means someone who wasn’t even a teenager when the show began will be well into their twenties when it closes its doors. That’s a heck of a long time to be on TV and this makes The Big Bang Theory a much-loved show indeed. Of course, no show would have had this level of longevity if it didn’t have likable characters, and The Big Bang Theory has these aplenty....

The issues with BioWare’s Anthem continue: one player couldn’t pick up a legendary drop item they earned after 80 hours of grinding for it. The ambitious MMORPG released earlier this year with a premise that seemed promising: players take on the role of Freelancers who must stop the evil Dominion from getting its hands on an item called the Anthem of Creation. Anthem released to a lot of negative player feedback, as well as bad reviews, making it the worst-reviewed game in BioWare’s history....

The upcoming Birds of Prey appears to be writing out Jared Leto’s version of the Joker from the larger DC Extended Universe. We don’t know if he will be replaced in some way, or if the character will just be forgotten over time. While the response to Leto’s Joker was mixed, there were more negative reactions than positive. Perhaps it was the look or the lack of screen time, but something didn’t work for audiences....

Harley Quinn: Birds of Prey has a number of nods to other films in the DCEU franchise. However, one franchise that the film is heavily linked to is Suicide Squad. With a sequel on the way and one already in the bag, Harley Quinn in particular is a part of that bigger world. Since Warner Bros. wants to set up this movie while making a number of nods to the original, it made sense that Birds of Prey would serve as the perfect launchpad for The Suicide Squad....
